Decadent Tiramisu This is a delicious and easy tiramisu recipe that I make when I host a dinner party. It's hard to resist a treat like this! Be sure to make it the night before, as it needs chilling. It serves 6-8 people. Ingredients 3 eggs, separated 450 g mascarpone cheese, at room temperature 1 sachet of vanilla sugar 175 ml cold, very strong, black coffee 120 ml Amaretto or Kahlua liqueur 18 savoiardi (Italian sponge fingers) sifted cocoa powder grated bittersweet chocolate, to decorate 1. Whisk the egg whites in a bowl until stiff and in peaks. 2. Mix the mascarpone, vanilla sugar and egg yolks in a separate large mixing bowl and whisk with the electric mixer until evenly combined. Fold in the egg whites, then put a few spoonfuls of the mixture in the bottom of a large serving bowl and spread it out evenly. 3. Mix the coffee and liqueur in a shallow dish. Dip a sponge finger in the mixture, turn it so that it becomes saturated and place it on top of the mascarpone in the bowl. Add five more dipped sponge fingers, placing them side by side. 4. Spoon in one-third of the remaining mixture and spread it out. Make more layers in the same way, ending with mascarpone. Sift with cocoa powder. Cover and chill overnight. Before serving, sprinkle with cocoa and grated chocolate. Enjoy!
